Petition filed to put Musharraf’s name in ECL

A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court stating that former President, General Musharraf’s name must be included in the Exit Control List of Pakistan. This is to be done so that he cannot flee away from the country, especially after what has happened in recent years.
Former President of Pakistan was under house arrest after he decided to run for a seat during the elections of 2013.
However, Musharraf is currently allowed to leave his farmhouse and he can travel anywhere he wants within the country. There are rumours that the former General of Pakistan army will not be allowed to leave the country.
Musharraf’s lawyer, Ibrahim Satti, was questioned about the situation and he said, “After some legal procedures, he’ll be a free man.”
