Judges selected for Musharraf case

The Supreme Court registrar has received five names of judges who are going to be sitting for former President, Pervez Musharraf’s case. Three of these will be selected for the final day.

The five high courts were asked to select one judge each. The Supreme Court was to nominate three judges from the higher judiciary in order to start the treason trial under Article 6.

The names which have been selected are: 

Balochistan High Court: Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar

Islamabad High Court: Justice Noorul Haq Qureeshi

Lahore High Court: Justice Muhammad yawar Ali

Peshawar High Court: Justice Yahya Afridi

Sindh High Court: Justice Faisal Arab.
