Monday, November 25th, 2013 4:45:53 by

In an effort to salvage the multibillion dollar Iran – Pakistan gas pipeline deal and discuss other matters of mutual interest, Prime Minister’s Advisor on foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz will leave for Tehran today. During his stay, he will call on the newly elected president Iranian president Hassan Rouhani besides meeting several other top officials of the neighboring country.

Aziz, who will also attend a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECO), will visit Iran at a time, when the country has just broken a long nuclear deadlock with the western powers and is all set to expand economically, given that the imposed sanctions are being curtailed.
