Landhi Blast Leaves 7 Rangers Injured
Thursday, December 12th, 2013 11:22:56 by Ahmad MehdiIt was reported from Karachi that seven rangers’ personnel were left injured after a remote controlled bomb blast took place in a vehicle in Landhi No.89. The incident took place on Thursday morning.
Police has reported that after the bomb blast occurred in Landi No.89 area of Karachi, at least seven Rangers were injured. It was also reported that the explosives were fixed in a roadside motorcycle and since it was a remote controlled bomb blast, they blasted off when a vehicle carrying ten Rangers’ personnel passed the area, also known as the Timber Market.
Once the explosion took place, seven rangers’ troops, who were inside the vehicle, were left injured while 3 left the vehicle without a scratch.
The injured troops were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment and the sources in the hospital have told the press that two of those seven rangers are currently in the ICU and are in a critical condition.
Due to security purposes the blast site has been cordoned by the police and investigation has started.
Rangers and Police are currently working hand in hand in order to clean Karachi from the terrorists which have been haunting the area for years. Both the parties have managed to capture several hired killers, gun runners and drug peddlers.
