Sri Lanka Beats Pakistan to Claim Asia Cup

Pakistan, who were favourites to win the Asia Cup, managed to lose it to the same team they lost the first game to, Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka have been on song throughout the competition and they did not lose a single game in order to claim the trophy; showing everyone that they are the strongest side in Asia.

Pakistan faced Sri Lanka in their first game of the competition and lost by only 12 runs. Later, Pakistan was able to beat Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh in order to take a spot in the final.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka was able to beat Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in order to reach the final of the competition that was taking place in Bangladesh.

In the final, Pakistan decided to bat first and only put up a target of 261. Sri Lanka did not find it difficult and even though they lost five wickets, they were still able to chase down this target easily.

Pakistan were the defending champions of the competition and now they hold the silver medal. Sri Lanka, however, have now claimed the gold.

All these teams are now going to prepare for the T20 World Cup which is about to begin in six days only.
