Sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that Ijaz Ahmed and Shoaib Mohammad have been included in the six-member committee that is going to select the new crop coming into the team.

The other members who are going to join Moin Khan in the same committee include the likes of former wicketkeeper, Salid Yousuf; the former opening batsman, Wajahatullah Wasti; and Mohammad Akram.

Pakistan participated in the Asia Cup last month and were beaten in the final of the competition by Sri Lanka, who also recently won the final of the T20 World Cup that also took place in Bangladesh. The coaches for that team included the likes of Moin Khan, Shoaib Mohammad and Mohamamd Akram.

Pakistan Cricket Board revealed another statement on Thursday that Mohammad Akram is going to become the head coach at the National Cricket Academy. This means that he is no longer going to be the bowling coach of the Pakistani national team.

The board has recently advertised several jobs as they are planning to revamp the back room staff. The team is preparing itself for the World Cup which is going to take place in February next year.

The posts which have been advertised include the likes of head coach and fielding coach.
