Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City and Los Angeles Clippers became semifinalists Conference after the finishing touch to the three qualifiers had to limit its way over to Atlanta, Memphis and Golden State. Finally, in the seventh game, the pitch factor prevailed and all three teams playing on their home court won. The first semifinal will be between Indiana -Washington and Oklahoma – Clippers. Portland and Miami are facing San Antonio and Brooklyn.

The biggest thrill, perhaps, was in a very even match which Clippers won in the final moments, against Golden State (126-121). The Grizzlies gave a splendid reply to the Thunder in the first half, but succumbed in the second (120-109), weighted by the absence of Zach Randolph and Mike Conley. The Pacers decided against the Hawks (92-80) with some slack, with an efficient defense and Paul George in command of the operations.

The absence of Zach Randolph proved decisive as it limited the potential for the Grizzlies, which also suffered from the physical fitness issues of Mike Conley, dragging an injured right leg. Grizzlies resistance was broken in the third quarter after a splendid and match first half (61-58).

Westbrook took command of the game and imposed its tremendous physical ability and versatility. Scored a fantastic triple-double: 27 points, scored both launched triples, 10 rebounds and 16 assists. It was a whirlwind and Grizzlies found no antidote. It was multipied because Kevin Durant also exhibited excellence of his game with five triples without failure, 33 points and 8 rebounds. The Thunder were very accurate in attack, with 61 % accuracy in shooting, 57 % from three.

Marc Gasol, imperial in the first quarter, finished with 24 points. The Thunder gave priority to label the Spanish winger, where they were taking turns Perkins, Adams and Ibaka, who had 12 points and 4 rebounds.

The Grizzlies added its second elimination in the first round in the last four seasons that has always been in the playoffs. Last year they lost the final of the Western Conference with San Antonio, after beating Oklahoma in the semifinals 4-1.

In Staples, after the last convulsive week because of racism Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s, and the life ban imposed on him by the NBA, the fans could celebrate his team pass to the semifinals of Western Conference.

The Clippers needed a great team performance, with 24 points from Griffin, 22 points and 14 assists from Chris Paul, Jamal Crawford 22 points and 15 points and 18 rebounds from DeAndre Jordan. Otherwise not have been able to crush the Warriors, led by Stephen Curry with 33 points and 9 assists, and Draymond Green with 24 points.

In Indianapolis, Paul George led his team with 30 points, the best score of his career in the playoffs, and 11 rebounds. The Pacers dominated the game and recovered the best version of Roy Hibbert. The winger had suffered a clear crisis of confidence and had only scored 10 baskets of 33 pitches in the first six games. In the seventh, he had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. He highlighted Stephenson with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

The domain of Atlanta on the rebound was overwhelming: 55-38.  The Hawks tried to answer three from the line but did not get a good percentage with 11 hits in 44 attempts.
