Sri Lanka scored 252/2 at stumps on day 3 of Galle cricket test

Kumar Sangakkara completed his 100 on third day and was not out at 102. Pakistani bowlers could only send one batsman Kaushal Silva back to pavilion on day 3 of the test. Play had to be stopped due to heavy rain after the tea break.
Sri Lanakan cricket batsmen played the Pakistani pacers and spin bowlers confidently and added runs to their total with ease. Talha was the only Pakistani bowler who took one wicket of Kaushal Silva who was caught by Sarfraz when the score was 144. Kaushal scored 64 runs.
Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara were playing at 55 and 102 when the umpires had to stopped the match after the rain started to pour before the tea break. Sri Lankan team added only 153 runs to their total on day 3 after resuming the play at 99/1.
The umpires decided to call it the end of the day 3 when the rain continue to make the playing conditions impossible. The match is expected to resume on day 4 earlier than the scheduled time to compensate the lost time on third day.
