FIR registered against Indian spy Kulbushan Yadav

A First Investigation Report (FIR) has been registered against Indian spy working in Pakistan, Kulbushan Yadav, after almost a year of his discovery. Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz revealed this piece of information during a Senate session on Friday. He also told the Senate members that a case was being prepared against the spy.

Yadav was arrested from Balochistan in Match 2016, as he was discovered as a RAW spy working on Pakistani soil against the interests of the country. During investigations, he confessed to fueling the Baloch separatist movement and also revealed that attempts were made to sabotage the CPEC project.

During the session, Aziz said that the United Nations Secretary General had been informed of Indian interference in Pakistan’s affairs and about Yadav’s presence as a spy. Aziz further added that a proposal to inform other countries about this is also under consideration.

Aziz further said that a dossier was also being prepared in order to establish whether India was directly involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan. He added that a list of questions has been sent to Indian over the presence of Yadav in Pakistan, which would help in court proceedings.

The advisor on foreign affairs said that a purpose to all of this was to bring Yadav to justice and assist in his prosecution.

When asked why the dossier took so long to be prepared, Aziz said that it contains sensitive information and facts on ground, and includes input from various departments, therefore to ensure solid investigation it was being delayed.

So far India has not openly addressed Yadav’s issue and even Pakistan has kept a soft stance on it.
