Panic grips Pakistan after Indian man’s ‘sixth sense’ predicts earthquake

So far science has not progressed to a level where earthquakes can be predicted, however, it appears that an Indian man has broken that record as he claims that his ‘sixth sense’ has told him that a massive earthquake will hit this region by the end of 2017.

According to reports, the prediction was made by Babu Kalayil, who sent a letter to the Modi government predicting a cataclysmic tsunami by the end of 2017. While the letter was brushed off as a mere joke by the Indian media, the Pakistani side took it a little too seriously.

In his letter sent to Premier Modi in September, Kalayil, using his ‘sixth sense’, predicted that a devastating earthquake could shake the Indian Ocean in December 2017 and trigger a massive tsunami which would affect seven Asian countries, including Pakistan and India.

According to a report by a local channel, officials in Pakistan have already issued orders to the concerned authorities to make precautionary arrangements for a possible earthquake.

Now another letter has been making rounds on the social media in which the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) acting deputy chairman has purportedly directed that standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the matter may be prepared on a war footing.

“An Information Report has been received from DG, Inter-Services Intelligence [ISI] that there is, reportedly, likelihood of [a] large scale earthquake, as being expected, in the Indian Ocean in near future which may vigorously shake the Asian continental areas, including Pakistan. There is, therefore, a need to sensitise concern[ed] departments to be on [the] vigil and take care of any natural disaster…,” reads the letter.

“The SOPs will be put up to ERRA’s acting deputy chairman by Monday, November 6, 2017.”

So far no one from the concerned departments has confirmed or refuted the contents of the letter but it is likely to be fake as ISI does not have anything to do with natural disasters.
