Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor entertained masses in Mumbai on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in order to promote their upcoming movie ‘Ra One.’
The science fiction movie is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, October 26 and is expected to be the next blockbuster in India. Apart from Shahrukh and Karina, Arjun Rampal will be seen in the lead role.
Some other actors such as Dalip Tahil, Satish Shah and Shahana Goswami will also be seen in the movie in support roles.
According to Shahrukh, he had to work extremely hard during the shooting of Ra One and wearing the special suite designed for the movie was nothing less than a challenge.
The King Khan claimed, “The costume was designed in a way that I had to take the help of girls to get into it and vice-versa. I wasn’t allowed to eat or drink much in between the shoots. By the time, the shooting of the film was wrapped up; I ended up losing ten kilos.”
Talking on the film, Khan stated, “When we started this film, the idea was can we make a simple film, about a husband, wife and child and then suddenly blow everyone’s mind when they start fighting. So there were two films in one: the people who like the action…and those who like a family film.”
The 45-year-old actor rated Kareena as one of the biggest strengths of the movie. The vivacious actress has enjoyed very good success in recent times, especially when she has done movies with the ‘Khans.’
Kareena’s last movie ‘Bodyguard’ with action hero Salman Khan turned out to be a huge success. She also played a lead role in Amir Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Three Idiots’ and will now be aiming to enjoy more success with her upcoming film.
Actors nowadays spend a lot of time in promoting their movies all over the country and Shahrukh is one of the best in doing so. He was recently seen promoting Ra One with India’s Formula 1 team Force India, owned by the country’s top businessman Vijay Mallya.
India will be hosting its first ever Formula 1 race in Delhi just three days after the release of Shahrukh’s science fiction flick.
