iPhone 4S battery issue needs to get addressed promptly

Ever since Apple Inc. released their latest iPhone 4S, on October 5, there has been a registered increase in the number of complaints filed against the battery life. The battery life is not matching up the promised time, which has upset quite a few users.

The new phone has its own pros and cons. It has surpassed its previous edition by one hour in 3G talk time by compromising on its standby time. iPhone 4S is short of 100 hours in the standby time offered by its previous edition. Standby time is that time
period for which the phone is not used for other activities on-phone.

Apple is yet to make a public comment regarding the number of complaints growing rapidly for less than expected battery life of 4S. The BatteryGate is expected to reach a prompt solution to the frequently reported issue, which may scare away the potential
customers from making purchase during the last quarter of the year.

Apple has already slipped down to the second place, from their previously held leading position in mobile market. The drop was registered at the end of the third quarter, 2011, after Samsung overhauled Apple’s net sales for the quarter.

It was explained back then that the potential buyers of Apple, were holding back their purchases during the third quarter because they were waiting for iPhone 4S. It has been speculated by the market observers that if Apple fails to address the BatteryGate
issue promptly, there is a possibility that the Apple will have its leading position back in mobile market.
