Bahria University Islamabad set to face Beaconhouse School System H/8 campus in a football match

Bahria University Islamabad campus will be facing Beaconhouse School System H/8 campus Islamabad on Friday, November 3, 2011. The match is reported to be an exhibition match and will be taking at the H/8 campus of the Beaconhouse School System, which is
more commonly known as the BMI campus.

It has been reported that the Bahria University’s football team had been looking forward to the match for quite a while now. Although it is a friendly match, the match holds great importance for the two teams involved and Friday’s game is bound to be very
competitive.

The two teams are well-reputed all over the capital city. However, being the official team of a university, Bahria’s football team has had more of an opportunity to prove their mettle in football tournaments taking place in the region. Hence, Bahria tends
to overtake Beaconhouse as far as the reputation of the football team is concerned.

Both teams are equipped with highly talented youngsters. The Beacon team being the younger team has a couple of very skillful players in their squad. Their star player Armaghan is known to have played in the under-16 Pakistan team. Another important part
of the squad is Muhammad, a very talented youngster. There was little information available about the Beaconhouse School System squad but it can be easily concluded that they are a very strong team.

The Bahria University’s line-up on the other hand, is one that has managed to make a name for itself by competing in various events all over Islamabad and Lahore. With their captain Faizan ‘Janu’ Sameer taking command in the midfield along with veterans
Ahmad Mehdi, Ahmed Butt, Qasmi and Amaad are all expected to represent Bahria. They also have new-comers Iftikhar and Fouad in the team, two youngsters who will be representing the University for the second time.

Although Bahria’s team suffered a loss earlier this week against a team from Gilgit, the team’s spirits are very high. It has been hailed by many as a very important match. Two players in the Bahria team have specifically emphasized on the match’s importance
as they are ex-Beaconites themselves and would be looking forward to returning to their previous school.

As the match draws near several players have expressed their views about the match. Ahmad Mehdi, who plays as an attacking mid-fielder for Bahria, stated:

“I am strongly looking forward to the match as I am a Beaconite myself. I have always loved Beaconhouse and it has always been an important part of me. If I score, I won’t celebrate.”

The captain of the Bahria university was also eager to add his remarks:

“Beacon are a good team and we are looking forward to a competitive match. Let the better team win.”

Another ex-Beaconite on the Bahria team, Fouad Ashraf was quoted as saying:

“Bahria against Beacon? What else could you ask for? It is a very important match, probably the most important for me as a Bahria player. I hope I am able to make the most of this opportunity.”
