Shahrukh Khan denies rumours of Ra One 2

India’s superstar sharukh Khan has slammed the rumours circulating in the media regarding the sequel of his science fiction flick Ra One, which was released on this year’s Diwali on Wednesday, October 26.

The movie turned out to be a huge success all over the world and this pleased the producers. Soon after that, there were reports in the India media that Shahrukh had started planning Ra One 2.

However, the superstar denied such rumours, saying that he has been busy on other projects for the time being and has not considered about making a sequel to his latest hit.

when questioned over the possibility of Ra One 2, Shahrukh said that it might happen in the future, but currently there were no such plans.

The King Khan added, "If we get a story that’s worthy enough for the sequel, we shall think of it."

One of the reasons behind the superstar not interested in making a sequel to his expensive flick might be the negative reviews from the critics all over India.

According to the film critics, the script of the movie was very weak and the storyline was pretty much predictable. However, everyone praised the special effects used in the science fiction flick.

Despite all the criticism, Ra One managed to break several records at the Box Office (BO).

However, Salman Khan’s Bodyguard held its record of the highest collection on day one due to the fact that Ra One was released on Diwali.

Many critics believe that the release date of the most expensive film in Bollywood should have been on the second day of Diwali.

The reason for that was families were busy in prayers on day one of their festival and the turn out was very low towards the evening.

Although Ra One got mixed response from fans and critics, the movie lived up to the expectations of the producers.

However, Shahrukh was not pleased with the negative remarks over his latest flick. He said that the purpose of making Ra One was to prove the rest of the world that India has the potential of competing them when it comes to technology.

The 46-year-old actor was expecting a lot of praise for the special effects in the film, but was disappointed to witness some negative criticism.
