Another comic book hero comes to life on the silver screen at Cinepax on Friday, December 18. However, this time it is not a superhero but children’s own beloved character Tintin, who embarks on an adventure of his life.

Tintin (Bell) is an ever audacious young reporter who is always in search of an interesting and attractive story. To quench his ambition, he steps onboard hand-in-hand with Captain Hadduck (Serkis) on a quest to find a lost treasure hidden in a ship that
went down in an unknown oceanic territory all hands aboard. The ship was captained by Hadduck’s ancestor but its whereabouts are unknown.

Oblivious of the situation, both Tintin and Hadduck leave the European shores for good but there is another contender to win the treasure. The villainous pirate Red Rackham (Craig) is also searching for treasure on the sunken arc.

The creative hand behind the 3D recreation of the Belgian comic book character is the decorated Hollywood director/producer Steven Spielberg. The movie is produced by Peter Jackson, creator of Lord of Rings trilogy.

The all-star cast includes Daniel Craig (Casino Royale), Jamie Bell (Jumper), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead), Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), Cary Elwes (X-Files) and Toby Jones (Infamous).

The Paramount Pictures 3D production was released in the US and the UK on December 31 and so far has received a warm reception. Spielberg’s creativity needs no introduction in the world of motion pictures. However, this is his first animation picture as
a director.

So far the review has revealed the movie as a family-oriented adventure but the action sequences, especially the arms shooting, is first-time introduced in an animation number.

The younger audience has liked the movie despite the fact that there are some intense action sequences. The adults like it for an old-style adventure that has some tongue-in-cheek suspense.

Overall the movie has been rated above fair and some of the aspects surely will catch the viewers segment, which has never seen an animated movie on a big screen, or 3D for that matter.
