Shilpa Shetty reveals the secret of her hourglass figure

Shilpa Shetty probably has the best (female) body in Bollywood, and unlike most Indian actresses who struggle to keep their weight in check, she continues to maintain her hourglass figure ever since her film debut in 1993.

Nearly 18 years ago, the sizzling actor broke into the Hindi film industry with a blockbuster movie ‘Baazigar’ – the picture Shilpa was nominated for the best actress award.

In the very next year, she gave another big hit ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, but her good days did not last long, as she had to suffer a few back-to-back flops in the following days of her career.

Almost a couple of decades have gone past, and Shilpa is as young as ever. Her attractive stature is certainly a benchmark for the newcomers, and Shilpa feels that a movie artist cannot afford to be overweight by any means.

Disclosing the secret behind her beautiful body, Shilpa shared, “My goal is to achieve personal happiness. At the same time, discipline is extremely important. If you have to be fit especially if you are a working woman who happens to be in movie business,
you cannot be fat. More than looking good, its about being healthy. All it takes is 20 minutes a day to burn out the excess calories. Good diet which means no junk food at all. No McDonalds french fries and burgers. Do not indulge daily. Also its not about
not eating anything you like.”

“You can always cut down the intake. Eat half a pastry oi a day instead of the whole piece. I indulge every Sunday. I have pizza etc but the tip is to have it in moderation. I can never diet. I also see to it that I dress according to my body type.
For the past 20 years, my weight hasn’t fluctuated much. Its between 57-60 kgs which I think is great,” she added.

The 36-year-old is away from the big screen, but doing a lot of stuff at the moment.  She owns an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise (Rajasthan Royals), a blooming spa business and has recently launched a Real Estate Company.
