Abhishek Bachchan and me playing lead roles in Players, says Sonam Kapoor

Young Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has made it clear that she and her co-star Abhishek Bachchan are plying lead roles in the new movie, Players.

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the picture has a lot of big names such as Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh. However, Sonam elucidated that her and Abhishek’s characters are the strongest ones in the film.

“I have always been the lead in my multi-starrer films. Abhishek and I were the lead in ‘Dilli 6’, ‘Thank You’ was about me and Akshay, ‘Aisha’ was all me and even now ‘Players’ is about Abhishek and I. The onus is on me as a lead. But at the same time there
are so many supporting people in the film who help you make it a better product,” said Sonam who will seen opposite to the junior Bachchan first time after Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Dilli 6’.

‘Players’ is a remake of a blockbuster Hollywood flick, The Italian Job’. Talking about her character in the movie, Sonam revealed that she is performing a role of a rebellious girl who is nice at the same time.

The story revolves around a gold robbery, and Anil Kapoor’s daughter is a computer whiz-kid who hacks the system to get valuable information. The dresses used in the movie are already a hot topic of discussion these days in the Bollywood circles.

And when asked about her funky looks in the flick, she shared, “I feel Rhea has done a fabulous job in the film. Her garments have done wonders to my character. She has understood my character quite well and have designed clothes accordingly.”

Many film gurus have tagged Sonam as sexy for her sizzling looks in the movie, and Sonam disclosed that she had to lose weight in order make herself more elegant.

“This year my audience will see me in a sexy body. I had to undergo a particular weight training for ‘Players’. I am also taking classes for power and vikram yoga because I want to have the best body,” added the 26-year-old old artist who started off her
Bollywood career with Saawariya in 2007.
