Model-actress Lisa Haydon’s sister, Malika, has performed to an item number ‘I’ll do the taking’ in Saif Ali Khan’s much anticipated upcoming home production ‘Agent Vinod’ and she is pretty confident she will carve out a niche for herself even when the leading lady in the industry, Kareena Kapoor, for the first time has performed to a mujra act ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’ for the spy thriller.

Malika told the media that she is not worried at all by Kareena’s mujra performance because her item number is completely western whereas Kareena’s mujra number is very ‘desi’.

“I don’t think the song (‘I’ll do the talking’) would get overshadowed by it (mujra)…As both the songs are of different styles they bring something different on the table,” Malika said in an interview.

“It (I’ll do the talking) is different from the other usual item songs. It is different from Sheila’s, Chikni Chameli’s and all (sic),” she said.

‘Agent Vinod, which will feature Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles, has been directed by Sriram Raghavan, who worked with Saif in ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ (2004) and won critical acclaim for ‘Johnny Gaddar’ (2007).

The film was originally set to release in December 2011 but it was postponed following a delay in the shooting schedule and will now release on March 23, 2012. However, when Raghavan was asked about the delay, the director said the delay of ‘Agent Vinod’ was intentional because Saif wanted the movie to have a clean release.

“Last year we had other big action thrillers releasing such as Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 and Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 4 so if we would have came out at the same time so the audience would have got an overdose of action thrillers. Therefore, Saif did not want to take a chance and chose March 23 as it’s going to be a clean release,” he said.

The Hindi action spy film ‘Agent Vinod’ is currently one of the most awaited films of this year and one of the reasons behind the film’s enormous hype is Saif and Kareena’s wedding.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if the movie really does well at the Indian box office.
