Sony Entertainment is once again under the radar of hackers

Two men were arrested and charged in Great Britain to gain unauthorized access to computers of Sony Music. The firm had already fallen victim to hackers of LulzSec.

The Sony Music Entertainment spokeswoman Liz Young said the company realized the intrusion into its system in May and took immediate steps to secure the site and report to authorities. As a result, the two suspects were arrested. He added that the attack
on the internal system of music-sharing company is not endangered any customer information.

Sony did not specify how much music was stolen or what artists, but a person familiar with the situation who was not authorized to make statements said Monday that the suspects are fans of Jackson and the artist had stolen music, including unreleased material.

In 2010, the year after the death of the King of Pop, Sony signed an agreement for seven years with the singer’s estate, worth $ 250 million, to sell their unreleased recordings. The Agency Serious Organised Crime in Britain said the suspects were arrested
in May and in September accused of misuse of a computer and a violation of copyright.

James Marks, 26, and James McCormick, 25, appeared at Leicester Crown Court in central England on Friday and pleaded not guilty. They were released on bail and are expected to be tried in January. It is believed that the case is not related to Anonymous
or Lulz Security, hacker groups often target specific pages of private and public organizations well known in the world.

Last year a group of hackers got email addresses and other personal information of millions of PlayStation, video game console from Sony, and Sony Online Entertainment networks. At that time, Lulz Security claimed responsibility for the attack.
