Stone Sour part ways with bassist Shawn Economaki

Stone Sour, an American rock band, have reportedly parted ways with bassist, Shawn Economaki. Jim Root, lead and rhythm guitarist, has confirmed reports and has revealed that the decision had to be taken after a lot of happenings in the last year.

“Shawn is no longer with us. A lot has happened in the past year. We need to move forward and [there will] be more detail when the time is right. He’s still a great friend and we’re in touch. But for now we have a mystery dude that shreds filling in for
the studio”, Root stated.

Corey Taylor, lead vocalist, has also confirmed the news and wished the bassist for his future via Twitter.

“As some of you might have heard, but I’ll confirm it: Shawn Economaki is no longer with Stone Sour. We wish him luck in the future”.

The American rock band is currently working on their fourth studio album, which will be a conceptual disc. Official details are yet to be known, but close sources indicate that the album would be a double-disc set.
