Freddie Roach believes Danny Garcia might get knocked out early!

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is currently working with Amir Khan at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood and he believes his man will win his upcoming fight by the way of a knockout.

The Bolton’s finest, who is more commonly known as King Khan, will lock horns with the current WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Garcia, who holds a perfect record of winning all of his 23 professional fights, including 14 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, recently claimed that he will upset Khan on the fight night because he also has the speed.

However, Roach reckons his man is much faster than the American pugilist.

“He says he has speed but we’ve got way more speed than that,” Roach added. “Take that advantage away completely. Danny Garcia’s a tough guy, a slow starter; he better watch out, he might get knocked out early.”

Garcia’s father, Angel Garcia, not too long ago bashed Khan at a press conference but when Roach was asked about it he said nothing has bothered him or Khan at all.

“I think he’s pretty funny, it doesn’t bother me at all,” Roach said of the elder Garcia. “I know exactly what he’s up to. I had a long talk with Amir and I told him ‘Hey, he just wants us to fight the wrong fight’. I said ‘Don’t let happen. We’ll be fine’.”

Khan vs Garcia’s fight has now become a unification bout since Khan has got his WBA title back. Now the fight will have WBA, WBC and The Ring Magazine titles on the line.

“Justice has been done,” Khan was quoted as saying on the Sky Sports website, www1.skysports.com.

“I’m glad the WBA are reinstating me as champion. It means I walk into this fight as world champion,” stated Khan.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if Khan becomes the first man to beat Garcia in the fight.
