More than 20 percent of the subscribers have used the network services from smartphones, which is promising for advertisers who are targeting those platforms

Being a public company means lenient privacy settings. Facebook is now a public limited company and most of its, rather all of its activities are subject to be disclosed to the shareholders, meaning the public. In the latest events, the company filed 10-Q report to the SEC. According to the document Facebook has had an increment in the social network use via mobile phones.

According to the statistics, around nearly 20 percent of its more than 543 million monthly mobile users accessed the social network in June solely on their mobile device. That’s 102 million people. 83 million people visited the site with only their mobile device in March, which adds up to a 23 percent increase of mobile-only users from March to June.

This is a promising new development for the company’s future earnings. Facebook is having an uphill battle for attracting revenues to its balance sheet, especially its campaign to increase advertisements.

However, the increased use of mobile device, or smartphones for that matter is a substantial evidence that Facebook might have a shot at increasing its profits through ads.

The Social Network started mobile advertisement in February following an increased concentration in the campaign in next two months. On the other hand, the company also allowed advertisers to target mobile phone users for targeted advertisement to increase the profitability.

In addition, the report also suggested that Facebook is facing the least growth in the US. The company’s overall growth in the country was merely 10 percent while the global average was 29 percent. On the other hand, countries like Brazil and India showed promising growth at 146 and 84 percent, respectively.
