Yelyzaveta Zharka, a passionate shuttler from Ukraine, proved her elevated craft in the arena when she played with confidence and sent Slovakia’s Jana Ciznarova packing in Women’s Singles first round encounter at Victor Slovak Open 2012
on September 7, in Slovakia.

The impressive Zharka, who remained complete control of the pace of rallies on court, showed a significant improvement in all aspects of her skills and wrapped up victory in a completely controlled and dictating way.

The in-form Ukrainian shuttler was at her best on court as she paced up rallies and remained positive and aggressive all the way in the contest.

Zharka remained aggressive and dominant in the whole battle and finished it up in straight games with a completely one sided manner.

On the other hand, the Slovak shuttler could not prove her mettle despite having huge home support. She could not control the bird at any stage and crashed out without showing her brilliance on court.

Right from the start of opening set, Zharka dominated the pace and made Jana confused who was not ready for such a shocking treatment at the early stage of the game.

Jana failed to play attacking and aggressive badminton in starting rallies and remained struggling on score board until the one-minute break.

After the mid-game interval, Zharka managed her striking run on court and remained impressive in her positive and aggressive play.

Zharka continued playing in the similar fashion while remaining confident and she showed no sign of confusion at any stage. She remained successful in snatching the opening game with a superb margin of 21-11.

Jana tried her best to play better badminton in the second game but failed to earn good results and almost gave up. She could not even put up a meagre resistance against her in-form opponent who was sailing smoothly on court.

In the meanwhile, Zharka easily pushed Jana on back foot by playing aggressive badminton and remained ahead until the end of opening half.

Zharka remained positive after the break and stretched her lead without facing any problem from her Slovak rival. She easily grabbed the second set with a phenomenal 21-6 score on the board.

The incredible Zharka won this first round encounter in a completely dominating fashion with a one-sided margin of 21-11 and 21-6.
