To The Point: Peace a distant dream with constant hate material

In the 21st century, it is honestly very disappointing to see how widespread hate for people’s religion, caste, colour and status still exists in this world and with the latest hate material like blasphemous movies and cartoons continuing to pop up in the most advanced of nations, peaceful living remains to be a distant dream.

Countries like Pakistan are already on the edge as they counter terrorism with a strategic partnership at times, but the Americans continue to disregard the problems riddled nation and blame them to be the epicentre of all world issues. With over 30,000 soldiers have given up their lives in a war that has been forced upon us due to regional existence, Pakistan is one of the few countries that is actually giving up it all to secure world peace, but people the Western world continue to deny that.

Instead of supporting the Muslim countries in their hope of bringing true world peace by eradicating extremists on their own soil, Americans are letting homebred extremism thrive and continue adding fuel to the already uncontrollable fire.

Is there not enough problems in the world like terrorism, land disputes, war, hunger, poverty and disease that people have now have to target religion in a disgusting and despicable way in order to grab attention and generate hate from beyond borders.

Being a Pakistani, we do not hate the Western world without a reason as we consider all to be friends when they want to be, but in return, we also expect to be respected and given fair treatment in all regards since American should keep in mind, that we are also a nuclear nation with one of the most powerful armies.

Despite being on the edge from day one of independence, Pakistan has been able to continue keeping its head up and not bow down to anyone in these past 60-plus years. From nearly three wars with India, constant attacks from the Afghanistan side and now drone strikes from the world’s biggest terrorist nation, Pakistan is still standing high on the mountain of pride.

Countries like America and France are too advanced in terms of education, technology, infrastructure, to be allowing people to make fun of and disrespect the religion of others, but by learning from example, they must act like civilised nations and outlaw such actions that enrage other communities.

The U.S. can never be a proper democracy, multi-cultural society and free if people are treated with hate and targeted based on what they believe in since they also, have a huge Muslim community as well and are dependent on Muslim countries for a number of reasons which they should not forget.
