PPP, PML-N don’t want change in Pakistan; says Imran Khan

Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 4:23:56 by

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) did not want to see “any change” to come in the country, adding that, both parties were colluding with one another.

While speaking to media representatives in Karachi, the former cricketer-turned-politician said that both the leading parties are involved in corruption and both the parties are resisting any change in the country. Khan is on a three-day tour of Sindh and told that he will visit different areas in Sindh including Karachi.

Imran said the people had chosen to bowl the PPP and the PML-N out simultaneously. He said he would be visiting all through the province of Sindh, adding that, the country’s issues could be resolved once the bane of corruption was tackled.

The former captain stated that other parties were involved in acting against PTI leaders, adding that, his party would get back at those behind these acts. Khan was referring to the PPP’s offer to Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood as Punjab’s next governor in the context of his political rivalry with the PTI’s Jahangir Tareen.

He continued saying that 67% members of the Parliament do not pay the taxes. He stated that the nation is tired of current politicians and wants a change now.  He also claimed that police and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are being used for wrong purposes and whoever joins PTI, cases are opened against them.

Answering a question on delimitation of Karachi, he said that it should be done in the areas where it is required. He, however, refused to acknowledge the presence of government in Balochistan.

Reiterating that nothing will stand in the way of the determination of people, he said the said they will not let go those playing retaliatory politics, once they are in power.

Carefully speaking about the rally of religious figure Tahir-ul-Qadri’s in Lahore, Imran said he has been speaking things that have nothing wrong in them.

Definitely, those old parties like PPPP, PMLN and PMLQ are product of such corrupt system. They can sustain only in corrupt system only. Therefore they wont change it ever. Only PTI can bring revolutionary changes. People must support PTI if they want corruption-free Pakistan.
