Digital advertising declines around 3%

The digital advertising investment in Spain fell 3% last year, according to the annual survey of the IAB, association representing companies advertising and digital marketing.

The advertising industry in general had another bad year in Spain, with an investment of 4635 Euros, 15.8% less than the previous year. Since 2005, the newspapers are the medium that have suffered the advertising
crisis after being dropped down to eight percentage points to take 24.8% of the total to 16.5%.
Digital media, on the other hand, has risen from 2.4% to 19.1% in 2012.

Automotive, finance, telecommunications and technology sectors are the largest investors in visual advertising pages (as opposed to search), and accounted for 34% of the total. They are followed by the transport
sector, travel and tourism, which invest 9.1%.

Procter & Gamble and El Corte Ingles are the brands more heavily bet on digital advertising. In 2012 Groupon came up with great force, naturally linked to the environment. In
mobile, the first poster is of the Vodafone, which has been ranked third on the Internet.

For this year, the IAB provides a slight increase (from 1% to 3%) on the Internet, while the mobile is around 50%.
