The security at the Airport has been tightened amid reports of a terrorist threat were received by the intelligence agencies. The terror threat forced the authorities declare high alert at the airport.

Rangers and army were called in and deputed at all entry and exit points, while the airport parking lot has also been vacated. All roads leading to the airport have been sealed off. Security had also been beefed at the nearby Noor Khan’s military airbase.
