An interview with the ninth “Miss Pakistan World” – Sanober Hussain

Top fashion model from Pakistani origins, Sanober Hussain, was crowned “Miss Pakistan World” last month in Canada, making the 23-year-old the ninth Pakistani women to scoop the award.

“Miss Pakistan World” is a beauty pageant and it consists of contestants from Pakistani origins mainly living in Canada, United Kingdom and United States. The winner of this event gets a chance to represent Pakistan in “Miss Earth”
pageant.

In an exclusive interview, Sanober has expressed her feelings after winning title and gave a little insight of her routine life.

Sanober, who is currently working in a private hospital, revealed that she intends to enter the International competition and wants to set a milestone of the Pakistani women.

The sensational and beautiful model revealed hard work behind her success and admitted that she was selected after months of preparations, intense studying and work out.

Speaking on winning the title, she said:

“I feel very honoured to be the 9th Miss Pakistan World (I was actually crowned on the 9th of the 9th month). At the same time, it also feels surreal. The runners up were beautiful and intelligent people. I still
have to pinch myself to remind me that I am Miss Pakistan 2011. I’m just very happy that the hard work and dedication has paid off.” Sanober was quoted as saying.

Hussain, who completed her studies from Manchester Metropolitan University in psychology, went on to admit that her long term goal was to become a clinical psychologist. She describes her plans to promote and create more awareness
about this event in the UK so that the Pakistani women may come up front to represent our country.

 “I would like to give Pakistani women the confidence and motivation to push past the traditional stereotypes, which unfortunately are holding back the women in our society.” Sanober concluded.

She added: “I hope to work hard this year and work towards becoming a promoter for women’s rights. As an ambassador for my country, I hope to work with various charity organizations.”

She highlighted her desire to portray Pakistani heritage by travelling around the world and insisted to change the mindset of people and the misconceptions embarked by the media about Pakistan.
