The 60-year-old paragon artist, Sting, celebrating 25 years as a solo performer, introduced the new iPad application, entitled ‘Sting 25’. The Apple Inc is the first ever to capture an artist’s body of work, performances, interviews and biographical memorabilia
and put it on an electronic tablet.

The application is free to download from the App Store on iPad. Described as ‘an Appumentary’ by ‘Apple’, the application briefs Sting’s solo career which includes his musical influences and environmental activism.

‘Sting 25’ includes concert footage from his 60th birthday celebration last month in New York, with performances by Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder and a dynamic duet with Lady Gaga of “King of Pain.”

The application has more than, what one can think of, as photos, handwritten lyrics, journal entries, interviews and even 360-degree images of his instruments, including his battered old bass guitar, form the application’s whole circumference.

Sting remarked over the launch of ‘Sting 25’ “Today is my digital re-birth. The app is a model for future delivery of music. This app encompasses my entire solo career. It’s a scrapbook for the digital age, I felt like an Archeologist in a way, going through
years and years of material, excavating these pieces of history, to put together the box set. We initially considered some sort of documentary, but the idea developed into something much more compelling and dynamic”

Sting is British-born bassist and composer for the famous rock band ‘The Police’. Sting launched his solo career a quarter-century ago and over the time, he has gained more stardom than any other member of ‘The Police’.

The Sting condoled to the death of Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs, who passed away last month and stated that his death is a big loss to the Apple Company and World. He further boasted his efforts and sheer instinct to revolutionize the media world by inducting
the utmost inculcation of technology.

Some of his albums, able to make a good impact at the Billboard charts, are, Nothing Like the Sun, the Soul Cages, Mercury Falling and Symophonicities.
