Among the 2012 models, many automobile manufacturers raised curtains on their 2013 models in the Los Angeles Auto Show staged in LA, California. Its not that 2012 models were not flamboyant enough, but the 2013 versions were all to take
in what is coming in the forthcoming year.
Some of the vehicles shown at the show are as follows:
1. Porsche Panamera GTS
The signature sedan from a company, that has ruled the sports car niche for over 40 years, is ready to rock the streets in 2013.
With a set of wheels that are good for racing on public tarmac and an engine that would turn the car into a racing beast, the GTS is atop the list of saloons that are capable of exerting sheer power.
Under the boot is a powerful 4.7-litre engine that is capable of producing 470 horse-powers. The shorter wheel base makes it easier to handle in the corners.
2. Volkswagen CC
The upcoming model of the coupe saloon category was unveiled in the auto show to give the glimpse of what is coming in 2013. CC stands for Comfort Coupe and it has major tweak to its door, which are developed frameless.
The new sedan has cosmetic touches to its front panel and changes to the navigation system. VW’s Sat-Nav is already impressive software but the company claimed that the new instalment will be mind-boggling.
The engine is upgraded to 3.6-litre V6 and has the capability of firing out 280 horse-powers.
3. Rolls Royce 102 EX
The electric version of the Rolls Royce Phantom was revealed at the Auto Show. The company announced earlier this year that they have an electric car in the pipeline but no one quite agreed to it.
However, new electric beast is out and will be up for grabs in 2013. The massive bulk of luxuries in the coach were not compromised at all. The new 102 EX has everything that its sibling, Phantom, has in it.
There are two 145-kilowatt motors attached to either rear wheel and combined together they produce a whopping 590 pound-feet torque to move this gigantic structure.
The battery drains faster on acceleration but the company said it has an average of 125 miles to full charge.
These are glimpse of what revolution is awaiting the arrival of 2013. Many more is yet to arrive as the LA Auto Show continues till November 27.
