Son of Pakistan- set to release across Pakistan, next week

As the Pakistani film industry is slowly moving towards its revival, Jarrar Rizvi has provided a new Lollywood flick “Son of Pakistan” hoping his latest project will amuse the Pakistani audience and will bring a handful of spectators
back to the Pakistani cinema.

Son of Pakistan- the upcoming projects- promises a good time according to the director and filled with renowned Pakistani veteran actors in Babar Ali, Meera, Shamil Khan and Ghulam Mohayyudin.

“For years, the film industry has promoted gangsters as heroes; we now have to show the world a peace-loving Pakistan”. Rizvi was quoted as saying.

If speculations are to believed, the movie was set to release in May 2011 but due to an unidentified delays and reasons, the upcoming Lollywood-branded movie is set for a release on December 15, across Pakistan now.

However the director is adamant that the movie had faced some technical issues for which the post-production phase had to be shifted from Bangkok to India (May be he feared his innovative new story will be copied by any other director).

What makes this movie, a must watch is the fact that Rizvi has been working for four years to bring the action packed movie to the viewers. The director might be impressed with Hollywood famed director, James Cameroon.

But the director has other ideas to justify the four year-time, usually it takes up to three months for assembling Pakistani movie with a complete package, by saying

“Making such a film was seen as threat, considering the current situation of the country. It took us four years to complete.”

The plot of the movie follows the race against terrorism and the director have followed the footsteps of various previous directors who have tried to show Pakistan among the front runners to end terrorism.

Despite countless movies available in the market with the similar topic, the director is confident that his brand-new story will be loved. He said:

“This film will be important because it addresses new issues that cannot be taught or discussed in a classroom setting,”
