PTI, MQM political deal round the corner

The PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) and MQM (Muttahida Qaumi Movement) are about to enter into a political deal, a media outlet claimed.

"Both the parties have decided to adopt a joint political strategy especially on the issues facing Karachi," the report said, adding the two sides have also agreed on not speaking against each other in public.

This new move is the result of PTI chief Imran Khan’s visit to Karachi a week ago. The report further explained that some representatives of MQM held meetings with Imran Khan’s team in Karachi and it was decided that both the parties would make a political
deal considering the current political scenario in view.

It will be a surprising development if Khan will makes an agreement with the MQM because he has been a harsh critic of Altaf Hussain and his party in the past.

Once he had visited London with a bag, which he claimed was full of proves about criminal activities of Altaf and his party. The report continued that the cooperation in the next general elections would also be a part of new pact between the two figures.
The accord is still in process of finalization, the report quoting sources reported.

It further informed that PTI’s newly nominated vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was the man who made the guns silent and convinced Khan to shake hand with MQM.

Qureshi wanted maximum damage to his previous party (Pakistan People’s Party) in the whole country, particularly in Sindh, the hub of the party.

"Qureshi considers MQM a best choice for this purpose," the report added.

The fresh move could be observed easily with observing change in tones of both sides. Khan did not speak a single word against MQM while Altaf Hussain also felicitated PTI for holding a successful rally in Karachi. This scenario gives a clear picture of
the entire scenario as what is going on around the corner.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi denied the report but he said that PTI was moving forward with many options. "Anything is possible in politics," he added. The PTI’s vice-chairman earlier termed the MQM a reality, adding that they want good relations with every political
group.
