Mehak Chahal gets proposed by Danish Khan on ‘Bigg Boss’ stage – Bigg Boss 5 Grand Finale

The 32-year-old Bollywood actress and a Norwegian model of Punjab, Mehak Chahal, was one of the hot-favourites in Bigg Boss 5 reality show but her hopes of winning one of the most possessed shows in India quashed when the KumKum star, Juhi Parmar, was announced as the winner on the big day. Nevertheless, it didn’t bother Mahek since she got something much closer to her heart instead.

Bigg Boss 5 grand finale was held last Saturday on January 7, 2012 and all the contestants were there to perform on the big day except Pooja Bedi. Moreover, millions of TV viewers were watching the finale at their home when all of a sudden Mahek’s long-time boyfriend Danish Khan, who is a computer engineer, proposed her on the stage.

Mahek, who was declared the first runner-up of Bigg Boss 5, told the media she will never forget this moment in her entire life. The actress stated it is like a dream come true for her.

Mahek said, “Today is the most memorable and special day of my life.”

Mahek added, “What more can a girl ask for? I always dreamt of how I will be proposed. I never thought I will get proposed on national television. It was so beautiful. I and Danish have known each other for four years. I am so happy.”

In the meantime Mahek was asked when she and Khan are planning to get married on which she remarked, “That will happen eventually. We haven’t got time to talk about it. We will talk and plan it.”

Mahek Chahal was one of the most controversial personalities in Bigg Boss 5 because a lot of people believed she was supported by the Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, who co-hosted the Bigg Boss 5 show along with Sunjay Dutt.

Another Bigg Boss 5 contestant, Pooja Bedi, had also accused Bigg Boss and Salman Khan for showing favouritism towards Chahal. However, Chahal made it clear by confessing on the finale that she had never thought of reaching so far in the show.
