Remarks made by Prime Minister could have ‘potentially grievous consequences for country’, Says Army

Army Chief, General Ashfaq Kayani has said in his affidavit that the prime minister’s remarks on national forces were unconstitutional and illegal.

Chief responded on Wednesday issuing an official statement that, “no allegation more serious. This has very serious ramifications with potentially grievous consequences for the country.”

Currently, the military and the government are at confronted mood over a scandal known as memogate, in which the former ambassador to United States of America Hussain Haqqani is charged with an untrustworthy written offer to the US to rein in Pakistan’s
military, in return for American support for the civilian government.

However, the army’s high command has reportedly called a meeting of senior commanders on Thursday to maintain a viable strategy for future actions.

PM removed secretary defence for not signing an affidavit prepared by attorney general…Lodhi had refused while secy interior, law and parliamentary had signed. that was taken to be an insult by the PM as lodhi hails from PM’s constituency in Multan…That is wat he called “state within a state” but choice to replace him is dismal…nargis lodhi an average officer God knows how did she click to PM….iq equation of both…????
