Pasha advises Musharraf not to return to Pakistan: Report

Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Shuja Pasha has strongly recommended Musharraf Pervez to postpone his comeback to Pakistan, a source said.

On the term of anonymity a source told DawnNews that, “General Pasha, who has remained very close to the former president, held a meeting with him (Musharraf) in Dubai and advised him not to return to the country as the situation is not conducive for his
return.”

The source told that Pasha “strictly advised” Musharraf not to return to Pakistan. The report said it was ambiguous whether the meeting was held on the orders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) or it was a private summit.

The report said that after the advice of Pasha, Musharraf summoned a meeting of his All Pakistan Muslim League party on January 25, for reconsidering his decision to return to the country.

On the other hand, Senate has adopted a resolution stressing the arrest of former President Pervez Musharraf on his arrival in the country. The resolution was strongly backed by some renowned members of PML-N, ANP, JUI-F and was presented in the senate by
PPP’s high ranked leader Senator Raza Rabbani.

Rabbani stressed that Musharraf has used government power not only to overwhelm Baloch nationalists but he also misused it for the killing of Baloch expert Leader, Nawab Akbar Bugti and Benazir Bhutto.

He also told the House that Senators Abdul Rahim Mandokhel, Professor Khursheed Ahmed, and Afrasyab Khan Khattak also wanted to move the motion against the former President Musharraf.

Not only that, Rabbani also presented a 10-point charge sheet against Musharraf, forcing his arrest upon his arrival in the country.

On this regard, the Interior Minister Rehman Malik told that, “I assure this house that if he lands in Pakistan, he will be arrested because he is a proclaimed offender in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.”

Above all, Senate Chairman Farooq H Naek allowed the senators to debate the declaration, but Rabbani proclaimed that since the resolution is on behalf of all parties present thus, members declared not to start a debate and it was passed collectively.

    Look the way army people protect each other. Musharaf is a killer and architect of NRO on foreign directions, let him be arrested and face his destiny. The only difference between our army and politicians is that army is group of more organized and well dressed robbers and competing in shamlessness.
