Zardari to salvage party image in Sindh, stresses ministers to reach out to the people

Karachi (Monday, January 30, 2012) It seems President Asif Ali Zardari has finally realized the fact that the day is not far when his party will have to face the people again for their votes as during a meeting here at Bilawal
house, he urged the provincial ministers of his party to reach out to the people and to proactively cooperate for solving their problems.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah also marked his presence during the meeting.

The provincial ministers, during the meeting, briefed the president about the working of their respective ministries and departments, while the chief minister briefed the participants on the overall political situation of the province.

The president, during the meeting, advised the ministers to proactively reach out to the people and address their problems. He also asked them to build close relations with the MPAs and help them in resolving issues in their constituencies.

Briefing the media personnel after the meeting, Provincial Information Minister Shazia Marri said the president had directed the ministers to develop greater coordination with the coalition partners.

After the meeting, the president also discussed a possible seat adjustment in Sindh with Imtiaz Sheikh, a leader of Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) for the upcoming elections.

Sharing the meeting details with the media reporters, Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Wassan said that the president had directed him to improve law and order situation in Karachi.
