Google + helps Google results with social networking trends

Anyone using Google will see that the results of searches have changed slightly. It is very detailed and also has a profile on Google +. Also noticeable is that there are new options to filter the results, among which especially one is called Your World.

Is this important? The wild guess is that it is, because suddenly the famous search algorithm of Google, as secret as the formula for Coca Cola, began to give priority to the content they created, shared and socialized. Members of Google +, the user who are using the search, are listed as first choice from the results.

The logic that wields Google for this is simple: the flood of information that currently exists on the Internet, the likelihood that is interesting is that the search results are filtered and prioritized based on social behaviour, something that is totally natural to humans.

As with everything, this new approach has its detractors and unbelievers, who are behind an attempt to monopolize and dominate everything that is done on the Internet solely on the basis of the size of the company and how much it spends on the SEO. This was the case but now that social networks have the information about the users’ search habits and the things that are more interesting to them, the new method makes more sense than previous way of prioritizing the searches.

It seems that Google will change the behaviour of its browser because there are those who distrust their transparency. In fact, it is likely that this only be the beginning of a movement to increasingly integrate social-digital layer in everything we do online and should not stand aside.

Although now more evident, we must remember that Google already experimented with social search in 2009, when it introduced “social search”. It was an experiment to help public find the content of their quickly and easily. Google+ did not exist at that time, but the concept of social circle was in use.

In that context, everyone has different places to make social connections with others and to publish web content like blogs, status updates, tweets and photos. Google Social Search content shows different parts of the person’s social circle in search results.

Back in 2009, Google had three ways to get an idea of ?? the social circle of its users. The most important was to create a Google profile and add links to other social services such as Twitter, Quran, FriendFeed, et cetera. After creating a profile and added links to these other services, Google understood that the user gave their consent to the rest of the world to discover the information.

The second way to identify the social circle is to know Google Chat contacts. Knowing who they are, can be used to tailor search results.

And finally, if the user has an account at Google Reader, the results appear coincidently related to blogs to which the user was signed.

With the advent of Google +, the circle is closed completely and the results become quite social and from the point of view of Google, much more relevant to users.
