iPad 3 set for March release with the iPad 4 following soon after

Apple are set to publically announced the iPad 3 in March, with the tablet set to release later on in the same month.

There is no denying the fact that Apple has two of the most successful products in the company’s history on their hands at the moment in the shape of the iPhone and iPad.

 The strong sales figures of the iPhone 4 and the 4S as well as the iPad 2 were the major driving force behind Apple posting record figures in its previous quarter.

It seems the company is keen to cash in on all the success and hype that the products have been on receiving and are set to announce the iPad 3 next month.

A number of sources seem to support this rumour, which is gaining momentum on the internet. The reports also suggest that the dimensions of the iPad 3 will remain the same but that the product will perform better than its predecessor.

The increased performance will be down to two main factors; the first of which is the fact that the iPad 3 will have a more powerful processor as well as better GPU (graphics processing unit), which is great news for all those out there who use the product
for gaming.

If the reports are to be believed then the iPad 3 will release by the end of March, soon after the announcement.

At the same time rumours are also ripe that the iPad 4 will be announced in October, which is rather baffling.

Also in the rumour mill is the fact that Apple will look to squeeze out a few sales for the iPad 2 by introducing a major price cut. Apparently the iPad 2’s price will be reduced to $399 which is a price cut of $100.

The strength of these rumours and the sources seemed reliable enough, but in the world of consumer electronics anything can happen and one will have to wait and see whether or not Apple will launch the iPad 4 so soon after the iPad 3’s release.

We may only have to wait until March to find that out for sure.
