Pakistan needs a massive political change – Imran Khan

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has expressed that the country needs a massive political change in order to move forward in the modern world and to meet the challenges at the domestic as well as at the international front.

Imran is without doubt the most popular political leader amongst the educated class of the country since last eight years, since he took a principle stance against the so-called war on terror. The cricketer turned politician has always advocated for dialogue
instead of use of force. Time has proved him right as now even the US is trying to negotiate with Taliban.

Over the years, the Chairman PTI has proved his honesty and sincerity with the country through amazing works like Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and the NAMAL University.

As a result of all incompetence of the traditional political parties, PTI emerged as a major political force in Pakistan last year and has become a symbol of change.

Some of the political analysts of the country are of the opinion that PTI is going to offer a massive challenge to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the upcoming general elections.

While talking to the press, the cricketer turned politician said that his party is about to give a clear-cut future policy very soon and will start a nation-wide membership campaign from the 25th of March, 2012 and after that PTI will hold elections
within the party.

Imran vows that his main objective is to eradicate corruption from the country.

He said, “We are coming out with a road map to bring change which has become inevitable now, To curb corruption and promote merit in the country is our main mission. To end seething confusion, a comprehensive party structure will be put in place."

There is no doubt about the fact the Imran is the most popular political figure in the country at the moment but whether his party will be able to make a huge impression in the coming elections, remains a massive question mark. It is surely going to be a
huge task for PTI to dismantle the hegemony of the two mainstream parties.
