Where is opposition? – Mian Nawaz Sharif should do something

We all are aware of the fact that Pakistan People Party’s government is in no mood to do anything good for people of Pakistan. The graph of corruption, inflation and poor law and order situation has been going up with every passing day.

Karachi, hub of Pakistan’s economy, is burning at the moment. On every single day, many innocent people lose their lives without any good reason. Similarly, the entire nation is suffering from price hikes and many other big issues.

On April 01, the government once again gave a big push to Petroleum prices. At first, I alongside many others took it as an April fool thing, as no political government can even think of adding fuel to people’s misery.

The whole nation is protesting against load shedding. Even in the big cities like Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi, there are 12-14 hours of unannounced load shedding.

In this situation, no democratic government can raise prices of Petrol, Diesel and CNG. However, the credit goes to Asif Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani, who once again showed to their voters that how big mistake had they made in 2008 general elections.

Our government officials are living a luxurious life. I believe they have developed a habit of doing every possible bad thing to the public of Pakistan; at least the recent history proves this.

Hence, nobody should complain for their bad behaviour. It is opposition’s responsibility to hamper them from making such moves. Pakistan Muslin League (N) is the biggest opposition party, headed by Mian Nawaz Sharif.

I am quite sure that if Nawaz and his men take initiative, they can easily force government to step back and bring prices back to normal. However, it seems that they are not ready to come out of Raiwand. Only thing they do is release a statement against
government. One must tell Mian Sahib that actions speak louder than words.

He should step up and lead the nation against this government. If he cannot do so, he has no right to call himself an opposition leader. To me, he is a part of the government because he is not ready to take any pain for public.
