People keeping their fingers crossed as Pakistan moves closer to elections

With the elections drawing closer, the people of Pakistan are becoming increasingly anxious to know just how the future of the country will unravel. The political parties have already initiated a subtle campaign by highlighting the failure of other political
parties while underscoring their own contributions.

The people have a huge responsibility on their shoulders to come out of the house to cast their vote and select the right person to formulate the policies and look after the country for five years. The decision is an extremely crucial one as it affects the
lives of millions of people, which comprise of the rich, middle-class as well as the poor.

Pakistan is going through a tough time indeed, with the international community bent on proving its role in spreading terrorism not only in the region, but also exporting it to other countries.

The country is also going through one of the worst economic crises, primarily due to the shortage of electricity and gas. The difference between exports and imports is increasing at an alarming rate and reaching a critical point, pushing Pakistan in deep
waters, i.e. financial deficit.

The youth of the country is losing its way, wasting their potential on things that are irrelevant to their as well as the country’s future.

The leaders and representatives of the Pakistani nation are losing their credibility and hence respect due to their lack of action in ensuring the well-being of the nation. No appropriate action has been taken to curb the numerous problems that are making
life extremely hard for an average citizen.

The leaders of Baluchistan and Karachi are trying to create a rift between their region and Pakistan. The latter is in flames, with a handful of people getting killed every day and yet there is no proper action against the guilty. The Supreme Court of Pakistan
is doing absolutely nothing to safeguard the lives of the citizens of Karachi despite a suo moto action that was taken last year.

The intelligence agencies may be doing an effective job on guarding the country against external threats, but seem to be oblivious to the situation that is currently prevailing in Pakistan.

The upcoming elections are being seen as a start of change for the better by many citizens, whereas there is a significant amount of people who believe that the country will keep on decaying regardless of who comes into power, putting a large chunk of the
blame on the leaders.
