PML Nawaz submits resolution for creation of four new provinces

Islamabad: (May 3, 2012) After Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) along with its coalition partners submitted and passed a resolution for the formation of a new South Punjab Province, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) went a step
farther by submitting resolution for the creation of four new provinces in the country.

The resolution submitted in the National Assembly today calls for the formation of Province Bahawalpur, FATA, South Punjab and Hazara.

Earlier, the PPP presented a resolution that was adopted and passed by a great majority of the National Assembly members and that supported the creation of South Punjab.

Commenting on this PPP led development, leader of the opposition Chaudhry Nisar complained that the speaker had taken up such an important matter without giving notice. He claimed that there was too much noise and questioned how
the speaker determined who had voted in favour of the resolution and who had not.
