Bipasha Basu: I want to wait till love happens

India’s very own bong beauty Bipasha Basu broke up with actor John Abraham two years ago and she has certainly moved on now like John, who is planning to tie the knot with banker Priya Runchal pretty soon. However, Bipasha still has not made up her mind as she says she is enjoying her being single.

Bipasha, now 36, recently had a candid chat with ‘TOI’, in which she talked about her personal life and much more.

Bipasha has always remained tight-lipped about her relationships but for the first time she opened up about John’s marriage. The actress said she is pretty happy that John has made up his mind to settle down.

Nevertheless, when it came down to her, she said she is waiting for the love to happen and till then she has no plans of getting married to anyone.

Bipasha stated when she was in a relationship with John she let many offers go away but now she has no plans of repeating the same mistakes.

She remarked, “Definitely not right now! I get applications from men on a daily basis (laughs), but I want to wait till love happens. The bell hasn’t rung yet and love takes time for me. I am not in a hurry. Right now, I am in a bratty frame of mind and enjoying myself too much to fall in love. I’m doing all the things I couldn’t do before.”

She said, “You can’t decide whom to fall in love with. It just happens. But right now, I am focusing on my work. When I was in a committed relationship, films like “I Am Legend” and “Pink Panther 2” (which Aishwarya Rai subsequently did) came my way, but I foolishly let them go.

She added, “I am aggressively different from what I was two years ago. I want to do great work and won’t let interesting projects go again.”

Bipasha Basu, who after John has been linked with the likes of Shahid Kapoor and Rana Daggubati, is currently participating in ‘Raaz 3D’, ‘Race 2’ and ‘Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum’. She is also working on a Hollywood project ‘Singularity’, in which she will play a role opposite to the American superstar Josh Harnett.
