Both One X and S III have HD displays at 1280×720-pixels. However, One X uses Super LCD technology and S III has Super AMOLED display. One X has the most vivid output in terms of colours and takes the lead in this particular segment.

All three handsets sport 8-mega pixel cameras with 1080p HD quality but iPhone takes the credit in bringing the best camera technology in the bunch. The smartphone uses five lenses and a bigger aperture and 2.4f to induce more light than in camera phone. The colour saturation is and picture quality also fall in 4S’ lap. Moreover, the handset brought the image stabilization feature for the first time in a video mode.

S III has the best front-facing camera with 1.9-mega pixel resolution.

One X comes with two processing unit modes, dual-core for the US and quad-core for the worldwide market. However, even the US-focused dual-core is at par with most of the quad-core processors out there.

At the event in London on May 3, Samsung stated that the new S III is a quad-core device but there is still lack of surety that the same specs will be launched in the US.

Even with a dual-core A5 chip, iPhone runs smoothly and slide and menu transitions are without any stutters. The One X, international version, boasts a smoother run of ICS despite the fact that the OS is heavier than its previous versions and iOS.

S III comes equipped with Samsung Exnyos quad-core 1.4GHz processor whereas, One X has Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1.5GHz processor in the US and NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor worldwide. 4S has a dual-core 1GHz A5 processor with dual-core graphics processor.

Both iPhone and S III are available in three storage denominations, 16-, 32- and 64-GB capacities. The One X is available in only 16- and 32-GB capacities.
