The actor has expressed his delight on the huge success of the film and is looking forward to working with Marvel in the sequel of ‘Thor’, which will release next year.

Skarsgard plays the role of Professor Selvig in the movie which is the same as he played in the movie ‘Thor’. The actor revealed that work on the Thor sequel has begun and the shooting is set to begin later this year.

“They’re working on it and they hope to start shooting in the fall, and I hope to be in it. They have me on contract so… And I’d love to work with those guys again. I’m having fun in the Marvel films,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star praised ‘Thor’ director Kenneth Branagh and insisted that the director has been of huge help. He added that Branagh’s experience as an actor definitely helps as he knows what he wants from his actors.

“He’s an actor so he understands completely what you need and what your fears are. He loves actors and I had a lot of fun working with him. I’d definitely work with him again,” he continued.

Skarsgard added that he is excited about his role in ‘The Avengers’ as he has something new to do in the movie this time around. The actor insisted that his role is a bit different from Thor and is hopeful of the film’s success.

“I haven’t seen the film yet but it’s the same character as in the first Thor film, although something happens in The Avengers which changes him and which gave me the pleasure of playing something different,” he concluded.

The Avengers has released worldwide on April 11 but is slated for a release in United States on May 4.
