Syria: New defence minister takes charge

Damascus: (Wednesday, July 18, 2012) President Bashar al-Asad, after the death of his defence minister General Daoud Rajha in a suicide bomb attack yesterday, has appointed a new minister for defence today.
According to the news sources, Fahd al-Freij has been appointed as the new minister for defence of Syria.
