Pakistan: A nation that always go for shortcuts

No one can trace out the roots of this phenomenon of always going for shortcuts in the Pakistani nations that the national poet of the country, Allama Muhammad Iqbal always detested.

While solely relying on will of the circumstances, we have developed the habit of not preparing ourselves for the challenging times. And instead of going fair and square in dealing with the day-to-day challenges, we resort to shortcuts, be they illegal or
even unethical.

It is because of this mindset that we have been constantly hitting bottoms in almost every affair of national and international life. Marred by procrastination and ineligibility to plan things forehand, we have been miserably failing in every walk of life.
And instead of learning a lesson from our failures, we have resorted to empty prayers, completely forgetting that prayers must be accompanied with actions, and without action, prayers are just not going to be of any help.

The habit of always looking for shortcuts is rather entrenched in our society, and in order to heal up the nation from this dreadful phenomenon, we need a true, sincere and capable leadership who could train the people as to how to take control of our lives
and to outperform on the basis of our sustained quality efforts.

Presently, we have been stuck into a downward spiral of ignorance which never allows us to rectify our mistakes. And if we wish to come out of this vicious cycle, which has also become a matter of life and death for us, we will have to focus on our education
system, will have to find and fix our political afflictions and will have to realize the universal truth that no nation in the world has achieved its prominent role without resorting to hard work. And we also want to follow the trajectory, we too will have
to follow the footprints that have been left by them.
