Harsheel Dani tames Nathan Tang in Men’s Singles qualifying round at India International Challenge

India’s emerging shuttler Harsheel Dani showed a wonderful performance in the arena and remained successful in beating Australia’s Nathan Tang in Men’s Singles qualifying round at Tata Open India International Challenge 2012 in India, on Wednesday, December 12.

The lower ranked Indian shuttler, who is un-seeded in qualifying round of the tournament defied all odds and proved his worth in front of his home fans by crushing his fifth seeded rival in just 16 minutes.

Harsheel played with remarkable precision on court as he showed a wonderful aggression and overpowered his challenger in straight sets by putting up a huge margin on the score board.

On the contrary, the higher ranked Nathan failed to put up strong show as he was shocked with the incredible speed of his local challenger and he eventually bowed down without even showing his brilliance at any stage.

Harsheel delivered remarkably well from the starting points of first game as he played with spectacular speed and took over the charge of rallies.

Harsheel proved that he has obtained top quality skills on court and ultimately successful in taking a strong position in the arena.

Until the mid-game interval, the aggressive Harsheel was leading the game with a wonderful difference.

The contest progressed in the same manner after the one-minute break as Harsheel did not lose his focus in the arena.

It was a smooth sailing for the impressive Harsheel who did not face any considerable opposition from his challenger and won the first set with a staggering 21-10 difference on the board.

In the second game, Harsheel did not lose his control at any stage in the first part as he played with confidence and precision.

Meanwhile, Nathan remained struggling to find a good rhythm but he failed to shake the confidence of his local opponent.

The lower ranked Harsheel was at his best and he remained successful in setting up a stunning lead until the end of first part.

Harsheel continued putting up comfortable show in the ending part of second game and remained successful in clinching the game with a reasonable 21-12 difference on score board.

The local shuttler cheered his home fans by playing attacking and positive badminton and he easily wrapped up victory with a smashing margin of 21-10 and 21-12.
