Maybank Malaysia Open 2013: Yeon Ju Bae crushes Karin Schnaase in Women’s Singles first round

Korea’s talented player Yeon Ju Bae showed a good performance in Women’s Singles first round where she defeated Germany’s upcoming player Karin Schnaase at the Maybank Malaysia Open 2013 on Wednesday, January 16, in Malaysia.

The impressive Yeon Ju, who has been showing up a steady progress at international stage for the last one year, put up strong show of top class badminton and managed to wind up the contest in just 30 minutes.

Korean shuttler entered into the court in a confident fashion and remained successful in beating her German rival in straight games with a crushing margin.

On the other hand, Karin tried to play positive game but she could not control the pace of rallies at any stage. She also conceded many points by playing negative badminton and eventually lost the match in straight sets.

It was a wonderful fight in the initial points when Yeon Ju showed a wonderful display of her craft on court and remained successful in setting up an early lead.

The incredible variations in Yeon Ju’s strokes helped her to maintain her superiority against her challenger in the arena.

Yeon Ju advanced on the board with a terrific speed in the first part and remained in lead on the board until the break.

The underdog Karin failed to create trouble for her rival after the mid-game interval as she lost her focus in the arena.

The positive and planned play of Yeon Ju assisted her to claim the opening game with a convincing margin of 21-14.

Karin put in extra effort to play tricky badminton in the starting half of second game but could not construct pressure on her rival.

Yeon Ju was at the best of her form and she remained successful in building a superb difference until the end of first half.

In the concluding half of second game, the impressive Yeon Ju continued her comfortable ride and easily ended up the second set by a superb margin of 21-9.

The in-form Yeon Ju remained successful in winning this Women’s Singles first round clash in straight games with a huge 21-14 and 21-9 score on the board.
