President, PM urge nation to unite against extremism and terrorism

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif urged the people to forge unity on national agenda against extremism and terrorism.  

The President in his message on the occasion of Eid exhorted the nation not to persuade at any cost the spirit of mutual affinity‚ tolerance‚ respect for humanity and well being of others. 

“We should also try to completely eradicate sectarianism and intolerance.”

The President asked the nation to share the happiness of Eid with families‚ friends‚ neighbours and the deserving people.

 

The Prime Minister in his message said “we should share the grief and sorrow of the families whose dear ones have lost their lives in the fight against terrorism.” 

Nawaz Sharif said it was unfortunate that in the holy month of Ramazan‚ some elements have killed innocent people and deprived the nation of numerous services they had been offering to establish peace in the country.

The Prime Minister also saluted the personnel of law enforcement agencies‚ particularly the police and armed forces‚ who strongly resisted the nefarious designs of the terrorists and set a history by sacrificing their lives.

He appealed the nation to unite on a national agenda against terrorism and extremism and ensure masses welfare and safeguard economic prosperity of the country.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have congratulated the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
